JOB POSTING #HDM11 - Heavy Duty Mechanic

Four Positions
Location: Alamos Gold, Dubreuilville ON

JOB DESCRIPTION


Dallaire Contracting is seeking four experienced Heavy Duty Mechanics for our Alamos Gold project in Dubreuilville. This 7x7 rotation role offers a competitive salary and involves maintaining underground mining equipment. Candidates must have a valid U/G Common Core and strong mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty mining equipment (scoops, haul trucks, jumbos, scissor decks, and MacLean bolters).

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to reduce downtime.

  • Conduct inspections to ensure equipment meets safety and operational standards.

  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule repairs and support field crews during breakdowns.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.

  • Adhere strictly to all company and site safety protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Heavy Duty Mechanic apprenticeship or equivalent certification with minimum 3 years’ experience, preferably in mining or industrial settings.

  • Must have valid U/G Common Core certification.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude across hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

  • Proficient in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

  • Experience with diagnostic tools and computerized maintenance systems is an asset.

  • Committed to workplace safety and quality workmanship.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites; able to work in both shop and field environments.
